ومع تصاعُد أحداثِ اليوم؛ وخاصَّةً حوادث احتلال العراقِ 2003 م ، وحرب لبنان 2006 م ، ومن ثمَّ تدخُّلات إيران وحزب الله في الدول العربية والإسلامية؛ برزَ اسمُ الشيعةِ في وسائل الإعلام، والصحف، والفضائيات بين مادحٍ وقادِحٍ، فكان لا بُدَّ من كلمةٍ مُنصِفةٍ تعرّف المُسلمين والعرب بهذه الطائفة دون عاطفةٍ أو انفِعالٍ.
