تتحدث هذه الرواية عن عمر وهو تلميذ بمعهد سالم بن حميدة بمدينة أكودة الذي يحل مع صديقه أمير سلسلة من الألغاز بالمعهد كي يستطيع معرفة حقيقة ما حصل لوالديه اللذان لا يعرف عنهما سوى أنهما توفيا في حادث مرور. لكن الحقيقة أثبتت عكس ذلك تماما. و قد تطرقت هذه الرواية الى نقد بعض الظواهر السلبية و الايجابية بالمعهد بطريقة كوميدية محترمة، كما تتحدث هذه الرواية قليلا عن حرب غزة التي اندلعت في السابع من أكتوبر.
