الحمد لله رب العالمين حمدًا يوافي نعمه، ويدفع نقمه، ويكافئ مزيده، والصلاة والسلام على سيدنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، أرسله الله بالهدى ودين الحق وآتاه الكتاب وكلفه بأن يدعوا جميع البشرية، فكان الوحي متلوًا ومعجزًا، وآتاه الحكمة فبين بها الفرائض والعبادات، وكان مكملًا للدين، وهي الثاني التشريع الإسلامي، ومبينة للقرآن الكريم وشارحة له، وقد بلَّغ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم سننه تارة بالقول، وتارة بالفعل، وتارة بالإقرار على الفعل.
لقد أوردت في هذا الكتاب من الآيات والأحاديث ومن أكمل الأقوال وأجمل الأفكار، تنطق بالحكم والعبر، ودروس ترشد الى الطريق الصحيح، وقصص من الماضي الانسانية، وأسباب الأزدهار والانهيار تلك الأمم السابقة.
أسأل الله أن أكون قد وفقت في تحضير هذا الكتاب المتواضع، وأسأل الله أن ينتفع من يقرأه، والحمد
