"ليس في روايتي هذه أي فصول، أي عناوين، فلا يمكن فصل الأحداث التي ستجدونها... وليس هناك عنوان سوى... "لو"... دائماً ما نتمنى أن تسير حياتنا كيفما نشا... وكما هو الحال هنا أيضاً، يتمنى أحدهم أن يعود به الزمن ليعتذر وأن يتمكن شخص آر من طلب الغفران وأن تجثو تلك على ركبتيها راجية أن يعود... ولكن هيهات!"...
لعل هذا المقتبس من رواية "لَوْ...! Boston 2" للروائية حمدة المنصوري يشي بموضوع النص ومحتواه، وهو فعل (الندامة) والروائية تفعل ذلك عن طريق (الراوي) الذي يروي حكايته وتدور حوله الرواية وهو هنا "شوق" بطلة الرواية، و(السرد) مبنية نصية تقوم على ثلاثة محاور، هي السارد الذي يروي الحوادث، والمادة المسرودة، أي (الوقائع)، و(الأحداث) المطردة وفقاً لترتيب معين يؤدي إلى حبكة صاعدة.
حيث تتحول البطلة بدورها من مرويّ له أو عليه إلى ساردٍ يحتل بؤرة الحكاية، ويتمظهر هذا أكثر من خلال فعل الروي الذي تقوم به شوق: "أنا فتاة من أبٍ عربي وأم أمريكية، عشت في وطني حتى بلغت خمسة أعوام، فقد تزوج أبي من إحدى قريباته بعد إلحاح وضغط من أهله... وبعد زواجه تفاقمت المشاكل بسبب الزوجة الثانية التي كانت لها السلطة الأكبر، والرأي المسموع...
فادعت أن أمي تربطها علاقة محرمة مع شخص آخر، فضربها أي وأهانها أمام الجميع، ولم يكن مصيرها سوى الطلاق والعودة إلى وطنها، وحرمانها مني...
هذا مصير الأم، ولكن مصير الإبنة لم يكن بأفضل حالاً من والدتها، فبعد أن تكبر وتتزوج تتعرض هي الأخرى لتهمة الخيانة من زوجها سعيد الذي يتهمها بشخص آخر بعد ولادة طفلها لمجرد أنه ساعدها عند كانت مجبرة على ذلك "لم يساعدني لساني في التبرير والتفسير... ولم أستطع مواجهته بالحقيقة... فكل ما استطعت فعله... أن أصرخ، وأخبره أنه ليس والد طفلي، فرحل بعد ما دفعني بيديه بعيداً عنه بإستغفار... عندئذٍ تساءلت شوق كيف يمكن لها الخروج من هذه المتاهة وليس هناك صديق لها سوى أحمد... فهل سيظل صامداً في هذه الحرب معها؟ وبخاصة أنه هو المتهم بالخيانة بالنسبة لزوجها سعيد؟...
