جمعتهما روايةٌ فتزوَّجا، تزوَّجها رغم تلك الشَّائعات الرَّائجة، يُلقِّبونها بلقب "مقرونة الحواجب"، لفَّقوا لها أفعالًا لا تَمُتُّ لها بصلةٍ، "زهرة" تلك الشَّابة اليافعة بالحياة، شبيهة والدتها المتوفَّاة، مدمنة الرِّوايات والقصص؛ إنَّها زهرة البيت، فأينما ارتحلتْ، تجد عطرها في كُلِّ ركنٍ وزاويةٍ، زهرةٌ أزهرتْ في قلب أسرتها الصَّغيرة، فحلَّ الرَّبيع في أرجاء البيت.
مرَّتْ بضع سنواتٍ على زواجها، لتذبلَ فجأةً دون سابق إنذارٍ، فيذبل معها أحبَّتها، فتسودُّ الدُّنيا في أعينهم.
