تتولى الشرطية مونيكا سويت القضية، وعندما تقع عيناها على المجلد الذي كان بحوزته، تجد عليه رسالة مكتوبة بخط اليد: "أرجوكِ، لا تهملِ كلماتي... فهي لكِ أنتِ."
ما تحويه تلك الأوراق يفتح أبواب الماضي، يقود مونيكا إلى قصة لم تكن تتوقعها، حيث تتداخل مصائر الغرباء في شبكة من الحب، الألم، والغموض. هل ما بداخل المجلد مجرد اعترافات رجل محطم؟ أم أنها رحلة إلى أسرار مدفونة لم يكن يجب أن تُكشف؟
بين ماضيه وحاضره، وبين الحقيقة والأوهام، يكتشف الجميع أن بعض الرسائل قد تصل متأخرة... لكنها تصل في النهاية.
