بعد أن استقرت جوري في جزيرة بعيدا عن الذكريات القاسية التي مرت بها ، تنقلب حياتها حالما ترى عصابة يلقون بشخص في البحر ، فيقتادها الفضول لإنقاذه و معالجته لتطاردهم العصرية و تقوم بخطفهم .
و من هنا تبدأ الحياة بصعق جوري بحقائق مؤلمة لتكتشف أنها كانت تعيش في شبكة من الأكاذيب و الغموض حقيقة والدها و أختها إلى موت زوجها و إبنها .
لاحقا يضطر بها الأمر لإلقاء نفسها أمام رصاصة لتخترق صدرها بدل أرثر الشخص الذي أنقذته سابقا .
