أسامة بن منقذ (1095 - 1188م / 488 -584هـ)، الملقب بـ مؤيد الدولة، وكذلك عز الدين أسامة، يُكّنى أبو المظفر، هو فارس ومؤرخ وشاعر، وأحد قادة صلاح الدين الأيوبي. قام ببناء قلعة عجلون على جبل عوف في عام 580هـ / 1184م بأمر من صلاح الدين الأيوبي. ولد في شيزر لبنو منقذ (أمراء شيزر). ألف آخر حياته العديد من المصنفات.
نسبه
هو أسامة بن مرشد بن علي بن مقلد بن نصر بن منقذ بن محمد بن منقذ بن نصر بن هاشم بن سوار بن زياد بن رغيب بن مكحول بن عمرو بن الحارث بن عامر بن مالك بن أبي مالك بن عوف بن كنانة بن عوف بن عذرة بن زيد اللات بن رفيدة بن ثور بن كلب بن وبرة بن تغلب بن حلوان بن عمران بن الحاف بن قضاعة.
حياته
ولد أسامة بن منقذ في شيزر، شمال حماة، عام 1095م. كان عمه سلطان أميراً على بلدة شيزر، وبعد وفاة والده التحق أسامة بجيش نور الدين زنكي، وعاش في بلاط النوريين بدمشق من الأعوام 1138 إلى 1144م ثم في بلاط الفاطميين بالقاهرة حتى العام 1154 -حيث اشترك في الحملات على الصليبيين في فلسطين. عاد إلى دمشق سنة 1154 عني بالشعر والقتال في أول حياته ونظم ديواناً في الفخر والغزل والوصف.
بعثه صلاح الدين الأيوبي كسفير إلى بلاد المغرب لطلب العون من الخليفة أبو يوسف يعقوب بن يوسف المنصور. وتذكر المصادر الأدبية أن الخليفة المنصور أعطى لابن منقذ ألف دينار لكل بيت من قصيدة مدحه بها وتضم أربعين بيتًا.
