« حالما خرجت من مكاني ، سمعت أصوات السيارات وهي ترحل من هنا . هرعت أبحث عن صديقي بين كل تلك الجثث من الجنود ، ولكن أثناء بحثي عن صديقي ، لَمحتُ قلادتهُ ، ركضت نحوها وتنزل دموعي بغزارة على الجثة التي توجد امامي ، خائف من قلبها وأرى صديقي! مددت يدي كي أرى صديقي لآخر مرة ... ولكن أحسستِ بشيء على رأسي وكأنه سلاح! أردف الذي وضع السلاح على رأسي : "اوه لدينا من لم يمت! ، إنك المحظوظ الوحيد بين اصدقائك!! ولكن الحظ لم يستمر معك" »
رواية تتكلم عن جندي قد خسر أمام الأعداء وخسر صديقه المقرب! لكن يظهر فجأة من العدم ما هو غير متوقع !
يؤدي به الى مكانٌ مجهول غريب ، واحداث اخرى تاخذه الى ما لم يكن بالحسبان!
