سيغريد أوندست (بالنرويجية: Sigrid Undset ) هي أديبة نرويجية ولدت 20 مايو 1882 وتوفي في 10 يونيو 1949. ولدت سيغريد أوندست في الدنمارك ولكن عائلتها استقرت في النرويج. في سنة 1924 تحولت من اللاأدرية إلى المسيحية الكاثوليكية. في سنة 1940 هربت من النرويج إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وذلك بسبب وصول النازية إلى بلادها ولكنها عادت بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية. حصلت على جائزة نوبل في الأدب لسنة 1928.

رواية كريستسن لافرانسداتر – 3 تأليف سغريد أوندست الكاتب الكبير والروائي العظيم بكلماته الساحرة في وصف أساليبه التي تجذب ذهن القارئ للإطلاع عليها فيتحدث عن الحياة القاسية المتعبة للمرأة في العصور القديمة، جعلت القارئ ممتن للإله على نعمة عصرنا وعلى الرغم من كل قبح الزمان ومساوئه،إلا أنه إتضح للجميع رؤية الوجه الإيجابي له.كيف منحت النساء الوقت والفرصة ليفعلن شيئا آخر غير العمل المعتاد الخاص بالمنزل وخلافه.ثم قام بعد ذلك بعرض الحياة للمرأة وكيف كانت متناقضة من مبتدأها لمنتهاها، قد يؤثر على القارئ بشئ من الرهبة. ثم عرض بعض من مكامن الخطأ التي ظهرت في تصرفات المرأة بوجه عام وما يؤثر عليهم من الخيارات والكلمات.و كم منا جزين بتناقضه الداخلي.ومعتز وفخورا بنفسه لأجل أشياء لا تستحق الأعتداد لأجلها.ويخطئ ثم يذكر نفسه مظلوما.ويجرح الذين يحبهم مع أنه لا يريد أن يكون سببا في جرحهم.ويعتبر حياته الزوجية مجاهدة مستمرة في تحقيق مطالاباته ليعيش في الدنيا. وكم منا جميعا نريد أن يأتيه الفرصة لرؤية حياته بهذا الوضوح من بدايتها حتي نهايتها قبل أن إنقضاء الموعد.
