سيغريد أوندست (بالنرويجية: Sigrid Undset ) هي أديبة نرويجية ولدت 20 مايو 1882 وتوفي في 10 يونيو 1949. ولدت سيغريد أوندست في الدنمارك ولكن عائلتها استقرت في النرويج. في سنة 1924 تحولت من اللاأدرية إلى المسيحية الكاثوليكية. في سنة 1940 هربت من النرويج إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وذلك بسبب وصول النازية إلى بلادها ولكنها عادت بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية. حصلت على جائزة نوبل في الأدب لسنة 1928.

"... وكانت خائفة من أبيها أيضاً. وقد فكرت كما يلي: ما أن يتم شرب نخب زفافهما، سيرحلان في رحلة طويلة إلى ذلك المكان البعيد، ومن المحتمل أنها لن ترى بيتها مجدداً لفترة طويلة جداً... وعندها يكون كل الكلام حولها قد مرّ عليه زمن كاف لنسيانه... والآن راحت ترى أن الأمور هنا ستكون أسوأ بكثير مما كانت تظن. صحيح أن إرلند تحدث عن حفل عظيم بمناسبة انتقالهما إلى منزلهما في هوسابي، ولكنها لم تعتقد أن الحفل سيكون أشبه بحفل زفاف ثان. وكان الضيوف هنا هم الناس الذي كان عليهما هي وارلند أن يعيشا بينهم... كان هؤلاء الناس هم من كانوا يرون بأم أعينهم حماقة ارلند وشروره طوال هذه السنوات..." الرواية "سيدة هوسابي" هي الثانية في ثلاثية سيغريد اوندست التي كان إنتاجها غني وقنوع، ويمتد من الروايات المعاصرة إلى الروايات القروسطية العظيمة والقصص القصيرة والمقالات وحكايات السفر. وروائياً "كريستين لافرانسداتر" بأجزائها الثلاث هي قمة عطائها. وهذه الثلاثية هي التي كانت السبب في منحها جائزة نوبل للآداب في عام (1928).
