The Author Book It Was Tomorrow and the author of 5 another books.
هلال شومان هو روائي لبناني الجنسية، وُلِد في بيروت في العام 1982.
نًشِرَ له بالعربيّة حتى الآن ثلاث روايات: “ما رواه النوم” (دار ملامح – 2008)، و“نابوليتانا” (دار الآداب – 2010)، و“ليمبو بيروت” (دار التنوير – 2012).
حاز هلال على بكالوريوس في هندسة الاتصالات والإلكترونيك من جامعة بيروت العربية في بيروت في العام 2005، وعلى شهادة في الدراسات العليا في اتصالات الأقمار الصناعية من جامعة تيليكوم باريس تك في باريس.
في الفترة بين عامَيْ 2007 و2012، كتب هلال مقالاتٍ وقصصاً قصيرة ونصوصًا لجريدة “السفير”.
في عام 2010، شارك في محترف “كيف تكتب رواية” بإدارة الروائية نجوى بركات، كجزء من فعاليًات بيروت عاصمة عالمية للكتاب، ونتج عن هذا المحترف رواية “نابوليتانا” التي نشرتها دار الآداب اللبنانية.
في عام 2011، حاز على منحة الصندوق العربي للثقافة والفنون (آفاق) لمشروعه الروائي الذي يجمع بين النص والرسم.
في نهاية عام 2012، نًشِرت الرواية عن دار التنوير تحت عنوان “ليمبو بيروت”، وحظيت بأصداء نقدية إيجابية.
يعكف هلال على كتابة روايته الرابعة، ويتابع نشر المقالات النقدية والنصوص الأدبية بشكل غير دوري في موقع “المدن”.
يعمل في مجالي التكنولوجيا والإعلام الاجتماعي لشركة اتصالات في دبي بالإمارات العربية المتحدة، حيث يقيم حاليًا.

سلسلة حوادث غامضة ضجّت بها بيروت: عربات غاز تزامن ظهورها مع حوادث موت. قتلى في حوادث سير قيل إنهم قضوا بسكتات دماغية واختناقات. قطط نفقت بأعداد كبيرة. موت أطفال رضّع في المستشفيات. انفجارات وحروب. لكن في المقابل، الفنانات الشهيرات الثلاث: رايا وكنزي وأنيسا قرّرن وضع حدّ للخصومات المزمنة وحلق شعورهنّ دعمًا لحملة بعنوان: "ما تحلق لبلدك"...
وسط هذه الأحداث، ينهمك خالد بعلاقة جديدة مع ريم محاولًا التغلب على فشل زواجه بسهى، ويساعد جاره العجوز في البحث عن زوجته المفقودة، بينما سهى في لندن تحاول خوض رحلتها الخاصة.
