الكاتب والروائي علي البراق بالانجليزية ( Ali Al-Buraq ) روائي وقاص عراقي ولد في الثاني عشر من ديسمبر لعام 2004 في مدينة العمارة جنوب العراق , ينتمي البراق الى المدرسة الكلاسيكية ذات الطابع الروسي سواءاً في الفلسفة الوجودية التي يتبناها او النمط الادبي في صياغة الاحداث . امتهن الرواية على خطى الروائي الروسي الشهير فيودور دوستوفيسكي وظهر ذلك بوضوح في اسلوبه المقارب للروائي الروسي والتشابه الكبير في الافكار والفلسفه المتبناة . يرى البراق ان الرواية هي امثل طريقة للتعبير عن المعانات والحل الافضل لتجسيد المشاعر المتلخبطة للانسان وما يدور في خلجات الانسان واحاسيسه .

هربًا من ضجيج العائلة، اختار العزلة بين جدران غرفته. هناك، في ريعان شبابه، صنع لنفسه عالما خاصا، مغلقا أبوابه أمام الآخرين. لكن ذات يوم، وجد نفسه غارقًا في حيرة عميقة، بين حلم عابر وواقعٍ غريب. وقف ميكانو مذهولا، لا يدري أين رست به سفينة عقله، أفي اليقظة هو أم في وهمٍ مظلم؟ .
