باسمه تعالى... في صيف ألف وتسعماية وثمانية وثلاثين، وفي مزرعة يملكها والده تسمى "بلاط مجيد" تابعة عقارياً لبلدة نبحا، ولد شاعرنا منتسباً إلى بيت تظلله الثقافة والعلم والتعلم والإنفتاح ومحبة الآخرين، مرفود بتاريخ فيه كثير من القيم والأخلاق والصفات الحميدة.
توفي والده وهو لا يزال متلقياً لعلومه الإبتدائية في قريته، وبعد ذلك الحدث الذي أثر فيه عميقاً، انتقل إلى مدينة بعلبك حيث تلقى علومه المتوسطة في مدرسة بعلبك الرسمية الأولى.
بعد نيله الشهادة المتوسطة انخرط في سلك التعليم فكان معلماً في "نبحا" و"إيعات" ومديراً في مدرسة بعلبك الثانية وناظراً عاماً في ثانوية بعلبك الرسمية حتى إحالته على التقاعد في سنة 1999.
انتسب سياسياً إلى حركة المحرومين "أمل" التي أسسها الإمام المغيّب السيّد موسى الصدر.
كان عضواً عاملاً فيها سواء في الهيئة العامة أو في المكتب السياسي، واليوم ينتظر كغيره من المنتظرين عودة الإمام القائد الذي هو عنده المثال والقدوة والأمل والرجاء، مع تفاعله مع الأحداث التي تعصف بشرقنا العربي والإسلامي.
نقرأ له قصيدة لمناسبة عيد الإستقلال عام 1974 تحدث فيها في الأمم المتحدة باسم العرب جميعاً وكانت قد حصلت معركة نيسان... "من نيويورك يا وطني كلامٌ... على ما قلتَ من حقِّ تُلامُ... قصوتك عندهم ما زال يدوي... ومن تأثيره قعدوا وقاموا... وثاروا عندما أوضحت أمراً... به الدنيا أقرت والأنام... فأنت الصوت صوت الحق يدوي... وفي نيويورك يا وطني لئام... وعيدك للدني، وطني مثال... به ساد التفاهم والوئام... على إحيائه اجتمعتْ جموع... بها من كل طائفة كرام... من القدس الشهيدة ألف شكر... ومن بيسان يا وطني سلام"...
قناديل الخريف شعر أتركك أيها القارئ مع ديوان يشبه بستاناً، تنوعت أشجاره فتنوعت ثماره... أنت مع الشاعر المربي نجيب وهبي الذي نثر حكمه في ديوانه لتظل التربية ترفل بوسيع الأخلاق.
