لقد حث الشرع الحنيف على نفع الناس ، وقضاء حوائجهم، والسعي إلى تفريج كرباتهم، وبذل الشفاعة الحسنة لهم، تحقيقًا لدوام المودة، وبقاء الألفة، وزيادة في روابط الأخوة، قَالَ تَعَالَى:}لاَ خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلاَحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ ابْتَغَاء مَرْضَاتِ اللّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمً (114) { [النساء]، وقَالَ تَعَالَى:}مَّن يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً حَسَنَةً يَكُن لَّهُ نَصِيبٌ مِّنْهَا (85){[النساء].. واعتبر قضاء الحوائج جماع كل خير ، لذلك تسابق الأولون في هذا المجال وتنافسوا فيما بينهم على النفع العام والخاص
