أحمد حافظ شاعرٌ شابٌّ سودانيُّ الأصل، وُلد في الجزائر سنة 2005، وجمع بين شغف الرواية ومحاولة اقتحام عالم الشعر. عُرف بعمله الروائي "الغابة الرمادية"، التي كانت بوابته إلى عالم الأدب والخيال، قبل أن يخطو أولى خطواته في ميدان القصيدة.
لا يملك دواوين شعرية بعد، غير أن أولى قصائده جاءت في وصف جزيرة سُقطرى، فاختار أن يجعل من الجمال والطبيعة موضوعًا لبواكيره الشعرية. وتميل لغته إلى الفخامة الكلاسيكية واستحضار صور الشعراء القدامى، مع نزعةٍ واضحة إلى الوصف والتخييل.
وإذا كانت الرواية قد كشفت عن قدرته على بناء العوالم والحكايات، فإن الشعر يكشف جانبًا آخر من شخصيته الأدبية؛ جانبًا يبحث عن الصورة الجميلة واللفظ الرنان والمعنى الرفيع.
إنه شاعرٌ في بداية الطريق، وروائيٌّ سبقته تجربته السردية، يسعى إلى أن يجمع بين سحر الحكاية وجمال القصيدة في مسيرة أدبية واحدة.
