كاتبة وروائية لبنانية.
بدأت حياتها المهنية عام 1959 في تلفزيون لبنان، مذيعة ومعدّة برنامجين:"نساء اليوم" و"جرف على طريق الزوال".
عام 1969 التحقت بجريدة النهار، ناقدة في شؤون الأدب والمسرح والموسيقى.
رئيسة تحرير مجلة "جمالك" الشهرية.
تحمل دبلوم دراسات عليا في الأدب الفرنسي.
بدأت مشوارها في العمل الصحافي عام 1959 في التلفزيون وتعمل ناقدة في جريدة "النهار" اللبنانية منذ 1969.
صدر لها سبع روايات باللغة العربية واثنتان بالفرنسية إضافةً إلى كتاب للأطفال وترجمات عديدة، أغلبها من الفرنسية إلى العربية.
وهي شقيقة الروائية والشاعرة اللبنانية فينوس خوري-غاتا الحائزة على جائزة الغونكور الفرنسية للشعر عن مجمل أعمالها.

متدثرة بفستان أمي الأسود بدوت كما في ذكريات والدي، على مثالها، ثريا الهاربة دوماً من واقعها من أجل أن تكون كائناً آخر. سمعتهم ينادونني. كان لي إسم. نويت في تلك اللحظة أن أفجر الغلالة المقيدة جناحي.
