هذا الكتاب يمكن أن يعد أول وثيقة بلاغية من التراث الإغريقي تحمل مؤثرات عربية من حيث إهتمامها بجماليات الشعر العربي في تأكيده على "بيت القصيد" و"البيت الفريد".
