بعد ان بينت كثيرا من الجوانب النظرية والتطبيقية للاستدلال العرضي على المعارف في علوم شتى حتى أصبح منهج العرض أداة صالحة لإثبات المعرفة في مجموعة علوم مناسبة أصبح لزاما بيان مجموعة أمور تتعلق بعلمه بلغة عامة ومتعارفة وبشكل منهج منظم ليسهل على طلابه الاستفادة منه. ولا بد من القول ان تأليف هذا الكتاب بحوثه ومواده استغرق أكثر من عشر سنوات، وكثير منها كانت ابحاثا منفصلا اعدت تبويبها، وبعد ان أجريت وطبقت الكثير من مسائله وقواعده وفوائده على الكثير من الأبحاث والعمليات الاستقرائية مما يورث العلم بصدق ما فيه عمليا وتجريبيا إضافة الى الأدلة المذكرة فيه. ففوائد هذا الكتاب الاساسية قد حازت العلمية الاستنباطية والاستقرائية، والكتاب أساسا في بيان التعريفات ووجوه المسائل وتبويبها. وجعلته على ثلاثة أجزاء؛ مبادئ علم العرض وعلم العرض النظري وعلم العرض العملي.
