الكلب يظلّ واقفا يجوب الغرفة، باحثا عن مخرج...
فجأة يتحرّك السّرير ويهتزّ ... تنفتح النّوافذ...وتسّاقط صور. في الخارج أصوات أناس فزعين... تتساءل: ما الذي يحدث؟ـ أزلزال؟...
في الصّباح تستيقظ منهكة برأسين، وتحاول تفسير حلم البارحة... كلب؟ هل هو رجل ؟ زلزال؟ هل هو حدث كبير في حياتي. النّاس الفزعون ؟ هل هم ضيوف حفلة العرس؟... ربّما ... ربّما…

تشعر بأنّ شبحا ما يسكنها. يتحرك داخلها ويأكل من جسدها حتى العظم... وتظلّ تتحسس بطنها الخاوية وتتساءل: "متى يخرج ملاكي فأمنحه أجمل الأسماء؟"
- عمارة:
على شاطئ البحر شيّد عمارة بثلاثة طوابق. كم كانت شاهقة وجميلة وكم كان مهندسا بارعا وفنّانا.
تأمّلها إعجابا، وقبل أن يهمّ بالمغادرة هدمها بركلة قدم واحدة، فانهارت جدرانها وأسقفها الرّمليّة في لمحة عين.
