ولكن لابد أن تحب ولابد أن تكره.. ولذلك فأنت لا تعرف الناس جيدا.. وإنما تعرفهم بالتقريب.. أو تعرفهم بعض الوقت.. وتحبهم بعض الحب.. وبعض الكره.. فأنت تعرفهم إلا قليلا! والقرد فى عين أمه غزال.. إذا أحبته! وفى عينيها: قرد إذا كرهته!
ولكل إنسان عدة صور: صورتك كما ترى نفسك. وصورتك كما تحب أن ترى نفسك. وصورتك كما يراها الناس.. فإن كنت أديبا أو فنانا فأنت تساوى ما تقدمه للناس. فأنت تساوى كتبك أو لوحاتك أو موسيقاك أو تماثيلك... ولا توجد وسيلة أخرى لكى يعرفك الناس غير هذا الذى أبدعته, أو عجزت عن إبداعه.
ولكنك لست فى كل الأحوال قادرا على الإبداع.. فأنت تتعب وأنت تضيق.. وأنت تحب.. وأنت تمل.. وأنت على أعصابك كاتبا وقارئا.. ولذلك فليست لك صورة واضحة لا عن نفسك ولا عن الناس. وإذا أنت نظرت فى المرايا.. فهناك مرآة تجعلك صغيرا, وأخرى تجعلك كبيرا.. وثالثة تجعلك مقعرا.. ورابعة تجعلك محدبا.. وخامسة تجعلك أصفر اللون.. أبيض.. أحمر..
ورأى الناس مثل هذه المرايا.. فأنت متعدد الألوان والأحجام والأوزان والأهمية والقيمة والأثر عند الناس. وإذا سألت الناس. فأنت مثل الذى يسأل جميع المرايا.. فماذا لو نطقت جميع المرايا معا؟
