وقَصَدْتُ استثارةَ الهممِ، وشَحْذَ الخواطرِ، وتبصيرَ طلاب العلم بما كان عليه سلفنا الصالحِ من العلماء والأئمة- في صبرهم وبَذْلهم في تحصيل العلم وقراءته وإقرائه، وأن علينا تبصير أمتنا بأهمية هذا التراث الذي خَلَّفه الأجداد؛ فهو عصارة عقولهم لقرون عديدة، وثمرة جَمْعهم وسَهَرهم لآماد مديدة، وأن علينا النهوض بهذا التراث، والحفاظ على هذه الترِكة الغالية، وذلك ببعث الحركة العلمية وإنمائها، وإيقاظ الهمم وإعلائها، بحيث نُضيف كل يوم إلى صفوفِ القراء حقًّا، وطلاب العلم الصادقين- عددًا جديدًا.
