يقع الكتاب في خمسة فصول: يتناول الفصل الأول مصطلحات ومفاهيم في التعليم والتعلم.. بالإضافة إلى بعض من نظريات التعلم، بينما يتناول الفصل الثاني النظام المعرفي الإنساني، وطبيعة مقررات علوم الحاسوب، والأهداف في تدريس مقررات الحاسوب، أما الفصل الثالث فقد تم فيه تناول بعض طرق وأساليب تدريس مقررات الحاسوب، بالإضافة إلى بعض الاتجاهات الحديثة في التدريس، وجاء في الفصل الرابع الكفايات اللازمة لمعلم الحاسوب، ومعامل الحاسوب المدرسية، الوسائل التعليمية التي يمكن استخدامها في تدريس مقررات الحاسوب، كما تم في الفصل الخامس إدراج بعض الموضوعات المتعلقة بالتطبيقات الرقمية في عمليتي التعليم والتعلم، وفي الختام جاءت مواضيع مهارات التعلم الصفي، والتخطيط للتعلم الصفي، وتقويم نتائج التعلم الصفي
