كتاب "صدام الحضارات ..إعادة صنع النظام العالمى"، من تأليف أستاذ العلوم السياسية صامويل هنتجتون، وقام بترجمته طلعت الشايب ومن تقديم د.صلاح قنصوة.
يتكون الكتاب من خمسة أجزاء، تدور حول الثقافة والهويات الثقافية والتي تمثل على المستوى العام هويات حضارية، كما تشكل أنماط التماسك والتفسخ والصراع فى عالم ما بعد الحرب الباردة.
يتناول القسم الأول الذي يحمل عنوان "عالم الحضارات" الحقبة الجديدة في السياسة العالمية وطبيعة الحضارات والعلاقة بينهما.
ويتحدث القسم الثاني "الميزان المتغير للحضارات" عن اضمحلال الغرب وصحوة الثقافات غير الغربية، أما القسم الثالث "نظام الحضارات الناشئ" فيتناول إعادة التشكيل الثقافى للسياسة الكونية وتلمس الطريق نحو التجمع وبنية الحضارات عارضا لفشل التحول الحضارى ودول المركز والدوائر المتحدة المركز والنظام الحضارى.
أما القسم الرابع "صدامات الحضارات" فيتناول المؤلف الغرب وقضايا التداخل الحضارى، وحقوق الإنسان والديمقراطية، والسياسة الكونية للحضارات، ويتحدث القسم الأخير عن "مستقبل الحضارات".
