مخلوق غير بشري، يحدثنا دون أن يفصح عن هويته، فيجلس في مكانه الغريب ويحكي لنا قصته أو عريضته كما أسماها، التي تتكلم عن فتاة ولدت في خمسينيات القرن الماضي، في شمال سوريا، و كيف قاست تلك المخلوقة الضعيفة و سط بيئة من الفقر و الجهل و القهر، حتى أن وصلنا إلى ما نحن فيه بعد سبعين سنة، من ولادة الطفلة شَعوب.
سنجد هذا المخلوق الغير بشري، في أي مكان داخل الرواية، ثم أننا سنراه خارج سطور الرواية أيضا.
