البداية كانت بجريمة قتل، جريمة قد تكون الأغرب بالنسبة لكل جرائم القتل التي تولي _ رائد شرطة أحمد ياسين _التحقيق فيها، أَحسَّ مِن اللحظة الأولي أنه أمام قاتل عليم، لا أثر لدخوله وخروجه، لم يترك القاتل أثرًا غير واقي ذكري وقطعة ذهبية يبدو أنهما بمثابة توقيع منه علي مسرح الجريمة.
وبعد أسبوع بالتمام وقعت الجريمة الثانية، إنها أيضًا تحمل نفس توقيع القاتل مع اختلاف طريقة القتل.
وتتوالي الجرائم في نفس اليوم من كل أسبوع، الجريمة الثالثة ثم الرابعة، وكلها تحمل توقيع نفس القاتل.
