هذه رسالةٌ مُختصَرَةٌ في مسألةِ النِّقاب، حمَلنِي على تحريرِها سُؤَالٌ وردَنِي من أخٍ كريمٍ من دولةِ مالي، ولستُ إلَّا طالبَ علمٍ في ركبِ الطَّالِبين، غيرَ أنَّ حُسنَ ظنِّ السَّائلِ ومكانتَه لديَّ اضطَرَّنِي ألَّا أُعرِضَ عنه. فاجتهدتُ في البحثِ والتتبُّع، وجمعتُ ما تيسَّر من أدلَّةِ الكتابِ والسُّنَّةِ وآثارِ السَّلف، ثم ذكرتُ أقوالَ المذاهبِ الأربعة، مع بيانِ ما ترجَّح لديَّ من الصَّواب. وقد جَمعْتُ الرِّسالةَ في مَلفٍّ مُبَدْأَفٍ لتعُمَّ الفائدةُ ويسهُلَ تداولُهَا، فها هِيَ بين يديكَ أيُّهَا القارئ، فإنْ بَدَا لكَ فيها خطَأٌ فالتَّنْبيهُ عليه مأمُولٌ، فالكمالُ عزيزٌ، والخطَأُ من شَأْنِ البَشَر. وأسألُ اللهَ أن يعلِّمَنا ما ينفعُنا، وينفعَنا بما علَّمَنا، ويزيدَنا علمًا ونورًا، إنَّهُ وليُّ ذلكَ والقادرُ عليه.
