يُسرد الكتاب في إطارٍ هو الأقرب إلى حوار الذات، ومناقشتها ومناجاتها، ومحاولة الوصول معها لنقاط التقاءٍ تساعد الوجدان في فهم واقعٍ متسلسل يعيشه وتقوم عليه ديمومة الحياة وما فيها من أممٍ ومجتمعات، منذ بدء الخليقة وإلى أن يشاء الله سبحانه وتعالى.
حرصت على أن ألاّ أنهك القارئ بدراساتٍ وأبحاثٍ وأرقام، وحديثٍ يكون فيه فحوى الكتاب علميٌ بحت، فأنا لست بباحثٍ متخصص، ولا أجد نفسي حتى قادراً على إسداء النصح بأمرٍ أرى فيه ذوي الاختصاص والعلم أنسب مني وأكثر قدرةً على التوجيه والإرشاد.
كتابي هذا هو دردشة إنسانية أحاول من خلالها أن أكتب ما يمليه عليَّ فكري من قناعات استنتجها، وقد أكون بالطبع مصيباً أو مخطئاً بها. لكن حسبي فيما أفعل أني أحاول".
