رواية إجتماعية قصيرة تدور أحداثها في حي باب عزون في القصبة بالجزائر العاصمة، حيث تعيش البطلة دنيا عبد العزيز، التي تقع في حب من طرف واحد حين تلتقي بحبيبها ورفيق طفولتها مراد توفيق في الجامعة، فيرفض حبها، وتدخل في دوامة لتحاول الهروب من ذلك الكابوس الذي تعيشه إلي قسنطينة، أين تمكث هناك تسعة أشهر لأجل نسيان حبيبها، لكنها تقع في قبضة الشرطة وتعود إلي البيت لتفاجئ بزواج اختها من حبيبها.
