جذور الإنسان في أولئك الذين كونوه وأنشأوه وسووه خلقة وخلقاً، وعلماً وثقافة وفكراً وأدباً وكل ما جعله إنساناً صالحاً في وطنه. فلا ريب أن هذه الجذور لا يسلوها الشخص الوفي، وإذا ذهبت عن عالمنا المنظور فيجد الوفي نفسه يتلهف إلى تلك الجذور في عالم النور عند خير مسكن لها بجوار رب العالمين.
وبهذه الحالة الشعرية أظنني على صواب إن أطلقت على ما تمخض عنها نداء الجذور وآلامها، لأن تلك الجذور إنما هي أعلى الحياة وأرهفها حساً وأبقاها أثراً فهي تنادينا لها ولنا ولأمالنا وتترك جراحاً غائرة بآلامنا.
