جمع الشاعر محمود شوقي الايوبي مجموعة من القصائد التي نظمها في الملك عبدالعزيز، وذلك في ديوان مخطوط بعنوان (الملاحم العربية)، وكتبه بخطه الجميل، وأرسله إلى الملك عبدالعزيز بعد عودة الشاعر من أندونيسيا، واستقراره في بلدة الكويت، وقد تم جمعه ونسخه في عام 1371هـ في الكويت، ويتضمن هذا الديوان الذي ينشر لأول مرة عدداً من القصائد في مدح الملك عبدالعزيز والأمير سعود والأمير فيصل، وذلك في سبع وعشرين ملحمة طويلة عبر فيها عن محبته للملك عبدالعزيز بإخلاص وتجرد، وعن إعجابه بإسلامه الصادق، وبطولته الفذة، وعروبته الأصلية، ومن ذلك قوله: هو الإمام الحر مغوار الحمى عبدالعزيز العبقري المرتضى
