بدأ العمل في مجال السينما، وتعلم تقنيات المهنة من خلال عمله في غرفة (المونتاج)، في عدة أفلام روائية طويلة، مع المخرج/ محمد خان، وخيري بشارة
شارك في مجال الإخراج السينمائي، في عدة أعمال أمريكية، وفرنسية ، هندية، مصرية ـ أهمها من انتاج ( شركة ناشيونال جيوجرافيك) - بطولة عمر الشريف - واخراج بروس نايمبر.
كتب عدة سيناريوهات روائية طويلة.
كتب، وترجم عن (الفرنسية، والإنجليزية) مقالات سينمائية عن تقنيات فن الاخراج، والمونتاج، وتجربته الشخصية في إخراج بعض أفلامه، في مجلات، وجرائد متخصصة مثل: (فنون، القاهرة.
