جمع مؤلف هذا الكتاب الشيخ ابن ظفر الصقلي المكي الحموي ملح البشارات المقدمات بين يدي مبعث سيدنا المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم وهى أربعة أصناف: الصنف الأول: ما جاء من ذلك في كتب الله عز وجل مجيئًا لا منكر له، والصنف الثاني ما جاء على ألسنة الأحبار، والصنف الثالث ما جاء منه عن الكهان، والصنف الرابع ما جاء منه عن الجان، وسماه " خير البشر بخير البشر" وقد اعتنى الشيخ على أحمد عبدالعال آل ناصر بهذا الكتاب وشرحه ونقحه وجعل له زيادات فجعل الفصل الأول تمهيدًا يشتمل على أدلة العقل والمنطق والقرآن على أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من ذرية آدم عليه السلام والفصل الثاني يتحدث عن آدم عليه السلام والفصل الثالث بين أن نبينا هو خاتم الأنبياء والمرسلين أما الفصل الرابع والأخير فهو يشتمل على كتاب ابن ظفر الحموي.
