" ... وأراك .. كما يرى النائم أمانيه، وتبعثرها شمسٌ لا تتكلم بلغة سوى الوقت؛ الوقت؛ الوقتُ يا هند .. الوقتُ الذي لا ينظر إلى الوراء؛ ولو أنكِ فكرةٌ لأنسانيها الوقت؛ ولو أنك موتٌ لأعطانيه الوقت؛ ولو أنك حياةٌ لأفقدنيها الوقت، لكنك سماءٌ يا هند .. سماءٌ تعبث بي وبالوقت وبما أنتظر؛ فإذا أجّلتني عيناك إلى لقاءٍ يجمعنا .. فليكن حباً لا ريب فيه؛ وإن أجلتني شفتاكِ إلى كلامٍ تقولينه كي أُجنّ .. فإن بيني وبينك موعدٌ لا نخلفه ..!
إنك مثالية للدرجة التي تربك الشيطان؛ أقصدُ الشعِّر .. حين يكونُ وسيلة العاشق في استجداء قلبه؛ عيناك يا هند .. عيناك؛ عزاءُ القانطِ في صبره؛ ورجاءُ الخائب في انتظارٍ لا يتحرك مع الوقت، ولا ينتهي ..!".
