رواية جسر الموت تأليف باسم إبراهيم عبدو، يقول الكاتب بين أسطر روايته: الحاسة السادسة لم تخيّب ظني. كانت صادقة معي. ساعدتني على اكتشاف المجهول. فعندما أتصوّر أموراً غير مرئية، تتحرك أوتار السمع، تبدأ الصور تتقلبّ، والخيال يرسم الحوادث.
قالت لي: أحمل نفسك إلى البيت في إجازة، لأن الأيام القادمة ستكون صعبة، وتنبئ بحرب وشيكة. أجواؤها مشحونة بالبارود.
وهكذا حصلت على إجازة من قائد الكتيبة لعدة أيام. خلعت بذلتي العسكرية. خلعتها عن جسم، كجلد ثور جاف. قلبي يرفرف بجناحيه كطائر أُصيب بطلقة صياد.. لا أعرف من أين يأتي النزيف. أحياناً يدقّ باب الفرح، ومرات تجترع نفسي أنّات حزينة، ضباباً داخلياً مشحوناً.
عدت من إجازتي. بدأت أحزاني تتغلب على آمالي، عندما أقبلت صباحاً على باب الكتيبة، المفتوح للأرض والسماء. حركات غريبة تجاه قسم المهمات. مجندون يشكلون حلقات. تتصاعد قهقهات. ومجندون خرجوا متفرقين توّاً من مهاجعهم المتناثرة، يحملون أكياساً محشوة، وصرراً مربوطة، ممتلئة بالثياب والبذلات العسكرية، وبطانيات مستلقية براحة فوق الأكتاف. أحذية مربوطة بقوة. رؤوس تتحرك بين الدروب الترابية والصخرية. تتوزع في كل الاتجاهات أكواماً من الحجارة السود، وعلى الطريق المرصوفة، الواصلة بين ساحة الاجتماع الصباحي، ومقرّ القيادة، تظهر الفصائل متناثرة على جانبي الطريق، وأرتال من الجنود يسيرون على نحو غير منظّم.
