قال المصنف: لأن التفرق والاختلاف بين الطوائف والملل والنحل سنة ثابتة، ولإن كل فرقة وملة تدعي الحق لنفسها، وأن ما سواها مبطل، كان لزاما على المسلم في خضم هذه النزاعات والشقاقات أن يعتصم بكتاب الله تعالى الذي لا يأتيه الباطل من بين يديه ولا من خلفه وأن يعتصم بسنة النبي العدنان - عليه الصلاة والسلام -، بفهم سلف الأمة وأئمتها، وان يحاول جاهدا أن يدعوا الآخرين إلى هذا الملاذ الآمن من الفتن.
ومن هذا المنطلق أحببت أن أساهم في ولو بالقليل يجمع شتات هذه الأمة المبعثر ويوحد بينها، فلم أجد خيرا وأفضل من بل وأولى وأحق من قضية التوحيد التي هي قضية جميع الالأنبياء والمرسلين عليهم الصلاة السلام للحديث عنها، وجعلها مادة الاجتماع والتوحد والاتلاف فيما بيننا.
