من نوادر الموسوعات الأدبية الأخبارية. أفرغ فيه ابن عبد البر القرطبي خلاصة قراءاته وملاحظاته في ميدان الأدب، أو كما يقول: (وجمعت فيه ما انتهى إليه حفظي ورعايتي، وضمته روايتي وعنايتي) فحفظ لنا بين دفتيه تراثاً قيماً، ضاعت معظم مصادره الأصلية، وكاد يندثر لولا أن ضم شمله وجمع شتاته.
أما منهج الكتاب، فبسيط لا تعقيد فيه، بناه القرطبي على (132) باباً، يفتتح الباب منها بما تيسر من من نوادر الموسوعات الأدبية الأخبارية. أفرغ فيه ابن عبد البر القرطبي خلاصة قراءاته وملاحظاته في ميدان الأدب، أو كما يقول: (وجمعت فيه ما انتهى إليه حفظي ورعايتي، وضمته روايتي وعنايتي) فحفظ لنا بين دفتيه تراثاً قيماً، ضاعت معظم مصادره الأصلية، وكاد يندثر لولا أن ضم شمله وجمع شتاته.
أما منهج الكتاب، فبسيط لا تعقيد فيه، بناه القرطبي على (132) باباً، يفتتح الباب منها بما تيسر من الآيات والأحاديث، ثم يورد أشعار العرب وحكمها، أو ما أثر عن غيرهم من العجم والروم، من كل ما قيل في معنى الباب، أو ضده، ليكون أبلغ وأشفى وأمتع. ومن نوادره: قصيدة المريمي، وأولها: (تعزّ فإن الحر لا بد يخلق )
