آدم عبد الحى شاب فى الثلاثينات من عمره يعمل مدرس للتاريخ فى مرحلة الثانوية العامة يعثر على كتاب داخل المقابر أثناء زيارته لقبر أبيه وذلك الكتاب عبارة عن مذكرات كتبها أحد الصحفيين منذ سبعون عاما فيبدأ آدم بقراءته ويغرق فى تفاصيله ويجد نفسه وسط حلقات من الألغاز التى لا تنتهى بسبب هذه المذكرات فكان محتوى الكتاب جريمة قتل حدثت لأحد بشوات سنة 1950م ويكشف عن اسبابها ذلك الصحفى ويحكى عن ظهور برصيص الذى كان سببا مباشرا لتلك الجريمة فذلك الجنى الذى يريد السيطرة على البشر واخضاعهم وجعلهم يفعلون ما يريده من قتل وسفك الدم حتى يكونوا تحت سيطرته .
يتعرض آدم لنفس الشئ من برصيص ومحاولات كثيرة كى يخضع له ؛ فلم يجد آدم سوى إنهاء قراءته لتلك المذكرات والتى تكشف كيفية التخلص من برصيص عن طريق ثلاثة أرقام يكشف عنها داخل الكتاب .
