وها أنا وفي هذا الوقت من الحنين وهذه المنطقة من الطيران، المنطقة التي حذر فيها قائد الطائرة من رداءة المسلك والانزلاقات المحتملة والهزات المباغتة والسقوط، أحاول أن أعاود اكتشاف نفسي، أبحث عن جدوى هذه الرحلة من الأصل، أراجع دفاتر يومياتي الكسولة الباهتة بهدوء وأنزلق في الكرسيّ الضيّق، أكاد أهوي ثم أعود إلى الوضع العمودي للجلوس، أنظر حولي وأراقب ارتباك الركاب وخوفهم وبلاهتهم، بعضهم تنتابه هستيريا الضحك وبعضهم يجهش بالبكاء وبعضهم يذكر ربّه من جديد وكلنا ضائعون .
ماذا أفعل هنا؟
أنزلق
أعود إلى الوضع العمودي
تنتابني حالة قيء مفاجئة، لا من الاهتزاز بل من اصفرار وجوه الركاب وسواد نياتهم.
أهوي
أخجل من غثياني ولا أجرؤ على الوقوف أو الصراخ
أبحث عن سبب للخوف الذي كان يرافقني في كل حياتي عدا هذه اللحظة من الحقيقة، لا أجد له سبباً الآن ، ولا أجد سبباً منطقياً لربط الحزام.
