يعد علم التفسير من علوم القرآن الكريم وأُلف فيه كتب كثيرة تبين أسباب نزول الآيات. والتفسير اصطلاحاً "هو كشف معاني القرآن وبيان المراد منه، وعو أعم من أن يكون بحسب اللفظ المشكل وغيره. وبحسب المعنى الظاهر وغيره المقصود منه".
وهذا الكتاب عبارة عن رسالة تتناول تفسير إحدى السور القرآنية المباركة، الموسومة بسورة "الدهر" أو "الإنسان" وهما الإسمان المقتبسان من الآية المتصدرة لهذه السورة. وفيها حاول المؤلف تسليط الضور على أقوال العلماء والمفسرين، مشيراً إلى الراجح منها، ومبيناً رأيه في ذلك وفي السورة الكريمة تذكر خلق الإنسان بعد ما لم يكن شيئاً مذكوراً، ثم هدايته السبيل، إما شاكراً وإما كفوراً، وأن الله أعتدَ للكافرين أنواع العذاب، وللأبرار ألوان النعم، وقد فصل المؤلف القول في وصف نعيمهم في ثماني عشرة آية، وهو الدليل على أنه المقصود بالبيان.
هذا، ويتضمن التفسير أيضاً أحاديث مسندة رافقت زمن نزول الآية تناولها المحقق شرحاً وتفصسلاً، فضلاً عن التفسير اللغوي لكل حديث وآية قرآنية...
