درست الاقتصاد في جامعة جوتنبرغ قبل أن تنتقل إلى ستوكهولم حيث عملت كاقتصادية لبضع سنوات.
أشعلت دورة تدريبية عن الكتابة الإبداعية حبها للكتابة فتركت الاقتصاد واتجهت لكتابة الروايات.

الولد الخفي الكاتب كاميلا لاكبيرغ
يتسلل مراهقان إلى منزل إيريك فرانكل للاطلاع على التحف الثمينة والنادرة التي يقتنيها منذ فترة الحكم النازي، ولكنهما يعثران على شيء آخر مروع في منزله، فيبلغان الشرطة بما عثرا عليه، وبعد هذه الواقعة المفاجئة تتوالى الأحداث بوتيرة سريعة تجعل رجال الشرطة في حيرة من أمرهم. فيما بعد، يجري البحث عن إيكسيل شقيق إيريك، ويتم ربط أمر ميدالية عثرت عليها الكاتبة إيريكا فارك، والتهديدات التي وجهتها جمعية أصدقاء السويد بمصير فرانكل. ومنذ ذلك الحين تتزاحم أسئلة عديدة في عقول رجال الشرطة من دون أن يجدوا لها إجابات شافية. وفي خضم ذلك كله تقع جريمةة قتل تذهب ضحيتها صديقة إيريك منذ الطفولة، فتزداد حيرة رجال الشرطة ويزداد عجزهم. التشويق يرافق القارئ منذ الصفحات الأولى لهذه الرواية، ولكنه يكتشف في النهاية أن كل توقعاته حول النهاية كانت خاطئة.
