ألوانٌ من الحب هي مجموعة قصصية تتعرض لأشكال وألوان مختلفة من الحب، يبرهن من خلالها الكاتب على أنَّ الحب من أرفع الدوافع الإنسانية وأسماها؛ لأنه يرتقي بالنَّفس إلى مراتب عُليا بوصفه صورة من صور الإيمان التي تُجَسِدُ تَجَلِيًا من تجليات الله على بني الإنسان. ويرى فارس العِشْقِ في هذا الكتاب — عباس حافظ — أنَّ حبه يفتقر إلى مقومات الجذبِ المعهودة؛ إذ هو حبٌ على أطلال الكهولة وليس على ضفاف أنهار الشباب. و يجد القارئ أنَّ الكاتبَ في بعض أقصوصاتِ هذا الكتاب يُنْزِلُ الحب منزلة المؤدِّب الذي يهذبُ النَّفس الإنسانية ويعبرُ بها من الأنانية والوحشية إلى الإنسانية الزاخرة، وقد وُفقَ الكاتب في اختيار عنواين تلك الأقصوصات، فأتت معبرةً بألفاظها عن الأنماط المعهودةِ في الحب.
