إن الرسول - عليه الصلاة والسلام - كان الطبيب الأول الذي عالج أمراض القلوب والأبدان والأمراض النفسية المعقدة حتى جاءت الحضارة الأوروبية المعاصرة فأهملت علاج الأول وطورت الثاني: وعقدت الثالث بمحاولة الشعور بلذة الحياة المادية، ومن تدبر هديه - صلى الله عليه وسلم - علم يقيناً أنه ليس طبيب فن واحد وإنما هو طبيب عام ناجح في علاج الأمة بأسرها إلا من خالف هديه ونبذ وصفات علاجه القلبية والنفسية ولقد اطلعت على كتاب الطب النبوي لشمس الدين ابن القيم - رحمه الله - فأعجبت به إعجاباً دفعني إلى جمع فصوله منه مساهمة مني في إحياء ذلك الكنز الثمين والتراث الغالي.
