حدث كل ما حدث في ألمانيا.
لن أتكلم كثيراً عن الرواية وسأكتفي هنا بهذين المقتطفين:
1)
سكبت لنفسها كمية كبيرة من حساء الفاصولياء الساخنة في طبق عميق، فاجأني سلوكها وأفرحتني شهيتها، فهي لا تأكل في العادة إلا قليلاً جداً، حملت طبقها ومشت باتجاهي بخفة أميرة، فجأة كانت تقف ورائي، اعتقدت أنها تريد أن تشكرني على الطبخ لأخيها وتقبلني أمامه لتشعره بانسجامنا، ثم حدث ما لا أنتظره، شعرت بالسائل المغلي يكوي جلد رأسي وشعري وصدري، لم أقل شيئاً، لم أقل شيئاً أبداً، لا شيء سوى أني شكرتها! أصيب أخوها بالدهشة، لم يفهم ما حدث، لم يستوعب الحالة، سمعته يقول لها "هل جننت!؟"، سمعتها تجيبه "ما حدث كان ينبغي أن يحدث، الأمر جميل هكذا".
نظّفتُ أرضية المطبخ ثم استحممت وعدت إلى طاولة الطعام.
2)
كنا مرهقين من السفر المتعب، استحممنا سوية، تحت رذاذ الماء الساخن انحنت الرعْبُوبة تولين بجذعها إلى الأمام والأسفل وكأنها تقطف لباس القطة من تحت أشجار الزيتون في جبال تركيا الساحلية، بينما استلقت ساعدي اليمنى على كَفَلها وأمسكت أصابع يدي اليسرى شعرها القصير، وشرع جسدي بالحركة مثل مكبس بلوك في معمل ضيق لإنتاج الخفان (حجارة البناء).
