رواية قصيرة ترويها امرأة فلسطينية هي بالأصل جزائرية متزوجة من فلسطيني، ربطتها علاقة حب فريدة من نوعها بزوجها يوسف فكان حبها يزيد شيء فشيء كلما رأته، وكان سبب حبها له هو تعلقها بالقدس الشريف، لأنها كانت تريد زيارته ورؤيته، فتتزوجه ويأخذها القدر نحو البلد الطاهر فلسطين هناك تتذوق كل شيء على طبيعته فتصبح كل أحلامها حقيقة وتعيش في كنف عائلة مناضلة وتشهد بعينيها موت أعز أحبابها لأجل تحرير الوطن الذي دنسه العدوان الصهيوني، وتنتهي أحداث القصة باكتشاف السر الذي خبأه يوسف زوج البطلة في إحدى مذكراته كي يحافظ على وعد جدته المتوفي الذي كان سبب استشهاده، وبذلك تنتهي القصة في مشهد حزين جدا أين تروي فيه البطلة مدى اشياقها لزوجها المتوفى ولكل شيء يربطها به.
