المخزي مسرحية من المسرحيات ذات الفصل الواحد، وتدور أحداثها حول أمير كابور، وهو محام أمريكي المولد، تتعارض خلفيته الإسلامية مع ترقيته إلى شريك في شركته القانونية التي يديرها اليهود، ويعلم أمير أنه لم يتم ترقيته خلال حفل عشاء في شقته في أبر إيست سايد؛ مما دفعه إلي تناول المزيد من الكحول، وقد تبع هذا الخبر نبأ عن علاقة غرامية بين زوجته إيملي وأمين المتحف؛ لذا بصق أمير في وجه إسحاق، وقام بضرب زوجته حتى تلطخ وجهها بالدماء، وسقطت على الأرض. تنتهي المسرحية بانفصال الزوجين، وعلم أمير أن سلوكه المشين قد دفع ابن أخته (آبي) للتخلي عن أفكار الاندماج والذوبان الثقافي، والتحول إلى التطرف الإسلامي؛ أملا في تحقيق الخلافة الإسلامية والعودة إلي أمجاد الماضي.
