السؤال الذي يطرح نفسه بكلمة أخرى: ما العمل إذن؟ وهو سؤال يجب مواجهته بصدق وأمانة. وهذه الدراسة التي جاءت في طيات هذا الكتاب تجيب عن هذا السؤال وتدل بالرجوع إلى تجارب التاريخ الثورية وتحولاته الكبرى إن العمل الوحدوي يجب أن يركز أساساً جهده في هذه المرحلة، وإلى أن يتوفر الإقليم-القاعدة، على تنظيم المثقفين الوحدويين وذوي الاستعداد الوحدوي عبر الوطن العربي في إنتيليجنسيا وحدوية جديدة يمكن لها التصدي الفعال للتجزئة وما يترتب عليها من إقليمية فكرية-نفسية إلى أن تتوفر تلك الوضعية الوحدوية الموضوعية، إنها بكلمة أخرى تحدد في ضوء المنهج التاريخي المقارن الأوضاع التي تفرض الاعتماد على الإنتيليجنسيا كقوة اجتماعية أولى، أو بالأحرى كأداة أولى للعمل الثوري.
