الكتاب يتحدث عن ملك الجوارح الذي هو القلب، والذي بصلاحه تصلح الجوارح، ويصلح الانسان بالأساس، والعكس صحيح، من خلال الحديث الذي رواه النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما،(الا وإن في الجسد مضغة اذا صلحت صلح الجسد كله واذا فسدت فسد الجسد كله الا وهي القلب) كما يتحدث عن اعلى انواع القلوب وهو القلب السليم الذي به تقبل الاعمال او ترد، وهو القلب الذي ينتفع به صاحبه في الدنيا والاخرة من خلال قوله تعالى من سورة الشعراء (يوم لا ينفع مال ولا بنون إلا من أتى الله بقلب سليم)
