إيفو أندريتش (9 أكتوبر 1892 - 13 مارس 1975 في بلغراد)، أديب بوسني - يوغسلافي, حصل على جائزة نوبل في الأدب لسنة 1961.

«الفناء الملعون»: هي أخر روايات الكاتب إيفو أند ريتش التي خطها في فترة لاحقة، حينما أصبحت قضية السجن في نفسه ذكرى عاشها واكتوى بنارها فعلاً في شبابه. إنها الذكرى المرة لفرز مكنونات الروح والقهر الذي سكن طويلاً من دون أن يهدأ. في البداية كان «اكس بونتو» حينما كان الكاتب شاباً وسجن، وفي آخر الأيام جاءت «الفناء الملعون»، ذكرى لتلك الواقعة. حيث تتكرر الأحداث بشكل أكثر تعقيداً، وأقسى قدرية في سجن ملعون بوطن غريب، كمكان يسوقك إليه قدر شرير سواء أكنت مذنباً أم بريئاً. فنتأكد من أنه لا شيء أبشع من الظلم، ونرى المجرمين والأبرياء ورجال الدين والعلماء ضمن سور واحد، وتبرز في هذا الخضم شخصية كراكوز مدير السجن، والطرق المتبعة في التحقيق لإرضاء الحاكم، متعرضاً لشخصيات تدين بكل الأديان السماوية الثلاثة، يعريها الكاتب لنرى جوهر الإنسان، مهما كان دينه ومعتقده، مستعرضاً جزءاً مهماً من التاريخ العثماني، والاقتتال على السلطة بعد موت محمد الفاتح وصراع ولديه عليها، والطرق البشعة التي يبتز فيها الغرب المسيحي الشرق المسلم الذي تولاه أيضاً الظالمون.
