ويؤكد الكاتب على ان الميتافيزيقيا ليست ملحقا بالعلوم الانسانيه، كما انها لا تلحق بالعلوم الطبيعيه، بل ان الميتافيزيقيا تمثل قسما اساسيا من الحكمة النظريه، في مقابل العلوم الانسانيه والاجتماعيه. وبعد ذلك يبين المؤلف وجود عوالم مختلفه ،كعالم الجماد والنبات، والحيوان، والعالم الانساني ،والاجتماعي ويوضح النسبه بين هذه العوالم.
